As the Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and excellence of all products and processes within Fibrant operations. You will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive quality assurance and control systems, ensuring our products meet both internal standards and external regulatory requirements. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as Research & Technology, Marketing & Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Supply chain, to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Your expertise in organic chemistry and regulatory compliance will support our commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, and innovative solutions to our customers while maintaining certifications and adherence to global and local standards.

Key responsibilities and behaviors

As a Quality Manager within Fibrant your responsibilities are centered around four key themes: Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Certification and Regulatory Compliance:

  • You will design and implement quality assurance programs to meet industry best practices and company objectives.
  • Lead internal quality audits and risk assessments, identify gaps, and oversee corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Train and mentor employees on quality assurance standards, procedures, and continuous improvement methodologies, work on a quality-focused culture within Fibrant.
  • Develop and validate analytical methods tailored to organic chemistry processes and products, and ensure adherence to testing protocols for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, including customer complaints and non-conformances, ensure close collaboration with production for immediate issue resolution and quality enhancement.
  • Lead the preparation, coordination, and successful execution of external audits for certifications such as ISO 9001, GMP+ FSA, FSSC22000, and others.
  • Interpret and implement regulatory requirements, such as REACH, CLP, OSHA, and FDA, and translate them to Fibrant processes and needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global chemical regulations/certifications and industry trends, pro-actively translate them into a long-term quality strategy
  • Act as a mentor and leader for the quality team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

 

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (Organic) Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Has deep understanding of organic chemistry principles and their application in industrial processes.
  • Gained strong knowledge of quality standards (ISO9001, GMP+ FSA, FSSC 22000, ISCC PLUS) and regulatory frameworks (e.g., REACH, Food-contact, feed, fertilizers)
  • Has proven experience in managing quality systems and certifications.
  • Shows strong interpersonal skills on leadership level
  • feels inspired by a high degree of autonomy and works in a structured manner
  • communicates fluently in English, both in writing and verbally
